A2 Music Videos

My favourite scene is the picture on the bottom right corner, due to this having a sunset colour, I made my background pink to compliment the picture. I included pictures of myself and my partner to highlight that we are the artists that the magazine is advertising. Just like most adverts, I made sure to include how you could buy the album or where to stream it from, iTunes and Spotify being the largest platforms. I made my photos tilted and enhanced that look by adding a white boarder around them.

This is my final album cover. Due to my main photos having a colour scheme of purple, I decided to carry that through into my font colour and cd disc colour. Just like my music video, I used a bold font for my band name and a more italic font for my track names, this then links them all together as the same is done in my magazine. This acts a trade mark on behalf of KP&IZ. For the spine of my cover I made sure that it was colourful to stand out against the black, this also represents all the colours and lights used within my video. The reasoning behind the black background is due to the most exciting scenes of our video being at night time, I then put brightly lit scenes on the front cover to further highlight the colourfulness of the video.

For my album I have chosen two out of four of my favourite scenes and would like these to be the pictures that attract my audience.  

This was what we thought was our final version but after having feedback from the class, we made some alterations to the ending such as fading it to black, fading out the music and also including moe clips to make the ending not so abrupt,

To help with exam work, I read these articles and highlighted key points that I would like to include in future essays.  These included The Female Gaze and Are You Beach Body Ready?

Our main target audience was people of the ages 16-23. This is because through research and watching other videos, not only are young people the majority of the actors but also the main listeners of the genre. This is due to this type of music being played in places that only young audience members attend such as night clubs and beach parties, the videos also consist of images that the older generation may not really be interested in watching such as people dancing and drinking within a party atmosphere.

These are the questions I will be asking members of my class in order to see if me and my partner have completed our goals 1. Do our clips suit our genre? 2. Are some sections too jumpy? 3. Are all of the shots clear? 4. Does our video look completed?

Our band name has been chosen to be KP&IZ which are the initials of both me and my partner Kira Partridge, when looking at other EDM djs/artists, their names are very short and generally consist of only one word, such as Skrillex, Tiesto and Kygo. Although ours is not an actual word, we feel we have confirmed to the conventions by having short and snappy.
